The SEK-Dublin boarding halls offers an international environment in which students of more than ten different nationalities coexist.
Aimed at students between 14 and 18 years of age who:
• Are looking for an international experience in a fully English language environment.
• Wish to learn more about Irish culture and its customs.
• International students who want to promote their personal autonomy and learn 21st century skills.

One of our great strengths as a school is the personalisation of our students’ learning. The teacher-student ratio is 1:8, which guarantees personal attention to all our students to guarantee quality learning.

Facilities
The school offers the charm of traditional architecture, the most innovative facilities and vast outdoor spaces, where nature is part of the incredible experience of studying in Ireland:
• Laboratories, multimedia technology and robotics classrooms and school pavilions with classrooms equipped with the latest generation technology including laptops, iPads, digital whiteboards, iMacs and Lego Robotics.
• Music classroom, fine arts classroom and theatre classroom.
• Intelligent Classroom made up of flexible spaces enabling collaboration and team work between students and teachers.
• Central library with over 3,760 works in Spanish, English, French and German.
• Sports facilities: With tennis and basketball courts, green areas and football and rugby pitches, plus indoor pool.
SEK-Dublin students are offered two types of accommodation: Student boarding (15 places) and staying with local host families (100 places).
Both types include full boarding, which also includes weekends. Students are given meals (breakfast, lunch, snack, afternoon snack and dinner).
Everyone has medical service, daily academic support and guided study at their disposal.
BOARDING HALLS
The boarding halls are located on the school campus, just a few metres from the main school building. The rooms are double and triple. Students are supervised day and night and it includes amenities such as a study area in each room, en suite bathrooms, as well as a kitchenette with microwave and refrigerator, full laundry service and common areas such as a TV room, games room , gazebo with outdoor tables and extraordinary views of the town, the hills and the sea. Students live together with others from 10 different countries.
ACCOMMODATION WITH IRISH HOST-FAMILIES
Families are rigorously selected by the school, who go through an exhaustive vetting and security process, which ensures that they offer a welcoming and safe environment for students. They welcome a single student and represent a unique opportunity to learn, from within, Irish life and customs.
SEK – Les Alpes offers a wide range of cultural sports activities for students on Saturdays during the first and third terms, and which complement the educational programme perfectly.
Sport activities: The exceptional nature of the area allows skiing during the second school term. Three days a week of the nearby Megève ski resort. Students receive lessons taught by instructors from the French Ski School on Thursdays and Saturdays and on Sundays skiing is free. These activities are part of the school curriculum.
During the last term, with the improved weather conditions, students focus on sporting activities. Students make the most of the unique enviroment doing orienteering around the area, canyoning in La Lechere, rafting on the Isère river, tree adventure parks at Fort de Tamié, water skiing in Albertville, caving in Sassenage, climbing in Praz Sur Arly, just some of the activities that we offer and through which we develop our major educational pillars: effort.
Cultural and recreational activities: The exclusive location allows students to enjoy a unique experience to get to know Europe. Every month they visit nearby towns and cities. In addition, they will also visit three countries during the academic year: Italy (first term), Switzerland (second term) and France (third term).
